Ballet Etudes Brings Christmas To Phoneix!

This young ballet school company has entertained Arizona ballet fans since 1986 with a strong ethos on form and professionalism. Many of their alumni have gone on to further study at American Ballet Theatre in New York as well as performing in Pacific Ballet Northwest's Professional Division.

Accompanied by Tchaikovsky's elegant score and a multitude of beautiful costumes, the tale of Clara and her enchanting adventure of a certain Nutcracker Prince is performed to a professional standard. 

What Is The Story?

At an elegant 19th-century Christmas party, young Clara receives a strange and unusual gift from her eccentric godfather - a handsome nutcracker. Her younger brother Fritz, jealous of the present breaks the doll's jaw, leaving Clara devastated.

But at the stroke of midnight, Clara's life turns upside down as the nutcracker comes to life, and fights off an army of giant mice! Clara lends a hand to the proceedings, and the nutcracker emerges victorious. Grateful for her help, he offers to take her on an adventure to the Land of Sweets, where the benevolent ruler, The Sugar Plum Fairy and her retinue await, to treat the heroes to an evening of beautiful dance!
