Why see Rhiannon Giddens?

Back On The Road

A proponent of traditional folk, blues, country, gospel and more, Rhiannon Giddens makes a welcome return to the spotlight this year, as she embarks on a new tour, following the release of her newest record, 'You're The One'. Showcasing her beloved genres, it marks her first solo outing in six years!

First coming to mainstream prominence in 2005 in 'postmodern string band', the Grammy-winning The Chocolate Drops, Giddens has maintained a steady course since. All the while she remains dedicated to keeping the heart of these cherished music styles beating, as evidenced in her much-acclaimed appearance on the show Nashville, published books and Silkroad Artistic Directorship.
